                                                (WARRENSBURG) - One of the best ways for students to protect themselves and their
                                                   families from the spread of COVID-19 is by getting vaccinated. Johnson County Community
                                                   Health Services (JCCHS), in collaboration with the UCM Health Center and School of
                                                   Nursing, wants to help make that possible by offering a free vaccination clinic specifically
                                                   for University of Central Missouri students and their dependents who are age 16 or
                                                   older from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 12 at the Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg.
                                                   All UCM students are eligible for the vaccine, regardless of where they may live or
                                                   whether or not they are taking in-person or online courses.
                                                
                                                 
                                                
                                                Pre-registration is required, and all appointments must be made by noon Friday April
                                                   9.                                                 JCCHS will be using the Pfizer vaccine for this clinic. Students will be invited back
                                                   to the Multipurpose Building at the same appointment time on May 3 to receive the
                                                   second vaccine. JCCHS will make accommodations for students whose appointments conflict
                                                   with final exam schedules.
                                                
                                                 
                                                
                                                Individuals participating in the clinic should enter the Multipurpose Building at
                                                   500 S. Washington Street on the west side, and arrive no earlier than five minutes
                                                   prior to their scheduled appointment time. Questions related to the vaccine or April

                                                A survey recently shared with UCM students indicated at least 800 students are interested
                                                   in getting vaccinated. Students who want to receive the vaccine are encouraged to
                                                   schedule their appointment as soon as possible. If you are unable to attend the COVID-19

                                                Students are encouraged to continue to practice social distancing protocols, wear
                                                   face coverings/masks and practice thorough hand washing even after being vaccinated,
                                                   as measures to help protect yourself and others from the spread of the virus.
