Charged Particles Jazz Ensemble,  joined by saxophonist Tod Dickow, performs April
                                                         21 at the University of Central Missouri.
                                                
                                                WARRENSBURG, MO –  The University of Central Missouri OVATION Performance Series closes
                                                   its 2023 season with the Charged Particles Jazz Ensemble at
 7 p.m. Friday, April 21  in UCM’s Hart Recital Hall, located in the Utt Music Building.
                                                   The public is invited to this free performance, and no tickets are required.
Charged Particles is a jazz trio hailing from the San Francisco Bay area. Members
                                                   include Jon Krosnick (drums), Aaron Germain (bass), and Greg Sankovich (piano). They
                                                   will be joined by saxophonist Tod Dickow in a program that highlights the music of
                                                   jazz saxophonist/composer Michael Brecker.
Charged Particles made its public debut on National Public Radio Affiliate WDET's
                                                   live performance program, "Detroit Jazz Alive," originating in Detroit, Michigan.
                                                    The group's one-hour live performance drew wide attention and the band immediately
                                                   embarked on a concert schedule that included festivals and major venues all over the
                                                   world. In addition to its own headline performances, the band has opened for national
                                                   recording artists such as Al DiMeola, Stanley Jordan, and Yanni.  Recent highlights
                                                   have included performances on the main stage of Yoshi's San Francisco jazz club accompanying
                                                   French Vietnamese guitarist Nguyen Le, an appearance with vocalist Kevyn Lettau singing
                                                   her compositions at Cafe Cordiale in Los Angeles, and performances in the Los Angeles
                                                   area with keyboardist David Garfield.
