UCM Workforce Program Honors Graduates Who Balanced Careers, Family and Ambition

The University of Central Missouri is celebrating the achievements of more than 80 students who completed professional certificate programs through the university’s Workforce and Professional Education division this spring. The programs, which include in-demand fields such as medical billing, sterile processing and clinical medical assistant, are conducted at the Missouri Innovation Campus in Lee’s Summit, Mo.

The University of Central Missouri’s Center for Workforce and Professional Education recently captured national recognition for its learn-as-you-earn CNA (certified nursing assistant) partnership designed to fill critical healthcare positions. Through this innovative collaboration involving UCM, area funding organizations and healthcare facilities, the university provides adults with the training they need to launch a career in the high-demand healthcare field.
